NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — Each year, teachers head to the stores, using their own money to pay for school supplies.

One organization, 615 Pencil Box, the local chapter of LP Pencil box, in Nashville is trying to curb that cost for Metro Schools teachers by offering free school supplies.

MNPS teachers can shop for school supplies for their classrooms and students for free at the location in West Nashville, which has classroom essentials such as pencils, crayons, copy paper, note books, book bags, glue sticks, hand sanitizer and much more.

Teachers can shop once per nine-week grading period.
