PENCIL is a dedicated and diverse group of individuals working to support public education in Nashville by connecting businesses, organizations of faith and higher education with MNPS students and schools. We are looking for passionate and creative individuals who want to join our organization to make a difference in our community. The Individual Giving Manager is responsible for donor acknowledgments, donor tracking, executing a multi-medium fundraising solicitation strategy including phone calls and mailings, benefit and recognition fulfillment, and CRM maintenance. They will communicate with all potential and confirmed guests to organization events via email, phone and in-person to create a healthy rapport. The Individual Giving Manager’s responsibilities are both detail and timeline-oriented as well as require donor centric, customer service demeanor to build successful and lasting donor relationships.

The LP PENCIL Box warehouse coordinator oversees the daily operations of the LP PENCIL Box (LPPB) warehouse, for the free school supply center for teachers in Metro Nashville Public Schools. The goal of this position is to receive donations, sort donations, prepare stock for the store, prepare supplies for delivery and pick-up, and deliver supplies to schools and satellite locations.

The PENCIL Reading Partners Assistant Coordinator has a love of literacy and a heart for supporting young readers in Metro Nashville Public Schools (MNPS) while complementing the reading partners program for PENCIL, an organization whose mission is linking community resources with MNPS to help young people achieve academic success.
The Volunteer and Free Education Store Leader will direct the launch of a satellite “free store” for teachers and grow volunteer engagement for PENCIL, an organization linking community resources with public schools to distribute more supplies and better serve teachers.
