Chief Operating Officer

PENCIL continues to grow in our service to Metro Nashville Public Schools, so we’re adding a Chief Operating Officer to provide support to all areas of the organization.  (Click here to view the full job description)

Candidates should submit a resume, cover letter, three professional references, and one of the following elements to HR@PENCIL615.org no later than 5pm on October 20.  Applications will be evaluated as received. 

Options of elements to include with your submission –  

  1. a new team member orientation plan to assure that every new team member gets exposure to all aspects of PENCIL’s work, is self-directed, and is an opportunity to build connections across departmental areas 
  2. a development plan to recruit and engage donors under the age of 30 who are looking to begin their community philanthropy 
  3. a plan to train, engage, and keep a knowledgeable a corps of volunteers who could serve as ambassadors for PENCIL at community events

Social Media & Marketing Fellow

Under the direction of the Events & Marketing Manager, the Social Media & Marketing Fellow develops and implements marketing strategies to gain greater brand awareness for PENCIL and community participation. These strategies will primarily include social media, graphic design, mass communication strategies, updating the PENCIL website, photography, storytelling and supporting our media outreach.
