Bellevue Middle from the lens of Principal Swihart
Bellevue Middle School sits right in center of the community. It’s home to the Mighty Owls; and if the principal, Dr. Seth Swihart, has anything to say about it, you’re going to want to visit Bellevue Middle.
I can’t think of a better way to serve my own neighborhood than being principal of Bellevue Middle School – my own children go here. It’s a way I can pour myself into my community. It’s a way to show optimism, positivity, and pride here in the Bellevue Community. It would be hard for me to sell the school authentically if I didn’t send my own kids.
At Bellevue Middle, we have amazingly talented teachers, hard working and caring students, and a community in pursuit of excellence – which is our vision. We provide an excellent academic as well as social-emotional education for our students.
Visit Bellevue Middle School to see what it’s really like and not what you think it’s like; and see the community. Give us a chance – talk to me, talk to our staff, and come see the school for yourself before you make a decision about Bellevue Middle. I believe in this school.

Check out Bellevue or another Metro Nashville Public School for yourself at PENCIL’s annual Principal for a Day event on Thursday, October 21. As a Principal for a Day, you meet the school’s students and staff virtually, during an hour agreed upon by the principal and guest principal, in a series of activities unique to your assigned school. The day then concludes with an optional luncheon at Lipscomb University from 11:30 AM to 1 PM.
