PENCIL and Metro Nashville Public Schools are partnering to recruit tutors as part as MNPS’s Accelerating Scholars Program. You are completing this form because you signed up to become an Accelerating Scholars tutor within Metro Nashville Public Schools.
This registration form is ONLY for individuals who have FIRST completed the sign up through brightpath.goschoolbox.com/apply registration and are looking to participate in Accelerating Scholars Tutoring. Volunteers are paired with a K-12 student, to support them through personalized, low ratio tutoring, ensuring each student is known, supported, and academically on-track. Volunteers commit to 12 weeks of engagement: 2 weeks of training (2 x 2-hour sessions) followed by 10 weeks of tutoring. Volunteers meet virtually or in-person with their students 3 times a week for 30-minute sessions, using a high-dosage, research-based model.
This current registration is NOT valid for any overnight/out-of-state field trips. If you are volunteering for an overnight/out-of-state field trip, please register HERE.
Please note that this is the FIRST OF TWO STEPS. You will receive an email after submitting this form that will provide a link to THE SECOND STEP, completing your background check. ALL information must be provided in order to process the background check.
