Day #5: PENCIL launched Our Students, Our Future, an endowment campaign that will ensure we can continue to provide critically needed resources to Metro Nashville Public Schools forever. Day #4: Together, PENCIL staff and partners have worked to establish several virtual engagement opportunities to support the growing needs within Metro Nashville Public Schools, as they navigate remote learning.

Our projects include: PENCIL Connect, PENCIL Library, PENCIL Me In, Proudly PENCIL Virtual Learning Series and PENCIL Reading Partners.

With community support, PENCIL will further develop these virtual projects to best support Metro students & teachers.

Day #3: PENCIL has experienced a significant increase in demand for our services, and has played a major role in getting supplies directly into the hands of students during the pandemic. Our volunteers, partners and donors have been critical to the efforts, ensuring the packing and distribution of tens of thousands of at-home supply kits.

Through the LP PENCIL Box, we have been able to distribute more than $1.8M worth of school supplies to students and teachers.

Day #2: PENCIL successfully launched the inaugural Together 4 Teachers campaign, an initiative focused on putting a bag of classroom supplies into the hands of every Metro teacher at the start of the school year.

Without hesitation, the community rallied behind our effort and we were able to distribute more than 5,100 supply bags to our teachers at the start of the school year!

Day #1: We celebrate the impact of our Family Resource Centers. With the help of incredible donors, partners and volunteers, PENCIL has been able to distribute $484,739 worth of food and other essentials to more than 15,821 families during this challenging year.
