Sign up to proctor with PENCIL!

April is fast approaching, and we all know what that means… testing!

Students will show up to school between April 13th and May 8th, ready to demonstrate their knowledge on the state tests. Volunteers can help make the testing season a success across MNPS by proctoring.

Teachers have shared their testing schedules with us, expressing their gratitude and anticipation for volunteers:

“If you’re not able to fulfill every day, we’ll take whatever you can help us with!”
“A little help goes a LONG way!”
“Thankful for this extra support – we would be happy with any number of volunteers for TCAP proctoring!”

PENCIL will host a Proctor “Party” on Thursday, April 2nd to train volunteers on proctoring expectations, help match volunteers with schools, and give out free PENCIL t-shirts!

We currently have 40 schools awaiting signups for test proctors. To help you find an opportunity near you, we have grouped all opportunities below by region, including a direct link to sign up for each opportunity on PENCIL Connect.

Finally, we will be celebrating one lucky proctor at the end of testing season with a randomized drawing for a FREE Southwest flight! (Volunteers MUST sign up through PENCIL Connect and fulfill their proctoring commitment to be entered).
