PENCIL welcomed our public school educators at its annual Together 4 Teachers to kick off the coming school year with a Pep Rally for teachers at GEODIS Park on Friday, July 31.

The Pep Rally celebrated Nashville’s public school teachers while also raising awareness of the DG PENCIL Box, our free educator resource center. Teachers received high-quality classroom supplies and enjoyed music, games, snacks, and more while reconnecting with their colleagues and peers before the beginning of the school year.

“Together 4 Teachers is always a fun opportunity to partner with MNPS and show our teachers appreciation for their continued hard work and dedication,” said Christiane Buggs, PENCIL President & CEO. “We truly appreciate our sponsors and partners who ensure educators are both equipped to start the year and continue to have access to the supplies they need year-round through the DG PENCIL Box.”

Sponsors and major partners for this year’s event include District Sponsors Amazon, Dollar General, and Nissan; and School Sponsors Asurion, Ingram Charities, and Nashville Predators Foundation.
